Once you’ve started an experiment on Myna, how do you manage its progress?
The short answer is that you shouldn’t have to. Running an experiment on Myna is completely automatic. You only need to interact with it if you want to change things: add or remove variants, or reset it so you can start afresh.
You may wish to reset an experiment if:
- you are about to deploy a new experiment to production, and you want to delete any data sent to Myna during testing
- you want to reuse an existing experiment to run a similar A/B test on a new page
To reset an experiment, click on the cog icon to the left of the experiment name, and select ‘reset this experiment’.
Adding new variants
If you come up with a new idea during an experiment, you may want to add it to the mix.
Simply click in the ‘Enter a new variant’ box, type the name of the new variant, and amend the code on your website accordingly.
You can do this at any time, whether or not the experiment is actually running on your site.
Once an experiment is complete, you may want to delete it from your dashboard.
Click on the cog icon to the left of the experiment name, and select ‘delete this experiment’.
Note that it is not necessary to delete experiments: you can keep them around as long as you want after they are complete.
